Concept & Description:Client Brief
The client wanted us to design a functional yet simple ground +2 floor apartment with a big open basement that could be used for family gatherings.Project Background
The entire residence is divided into three types of spaces where typical floor (1st & 2nd) is a 3 bedroom unit each , ground floor on the other hand is much more spacious with 2 bedrooms a big dining and living room. Basement has been designed as a big open family space with gym, bar unit, family dining & family lounge.
House is characterized by bold geometry & earthy shades used for flooring, walls, ceiling as well as the exterior.
Overall there is a balance between geometrical forms and decorative elements like false ceiling, use of bold veneer on doors & floating wall diving the living/dining on ground floor.
Basic concept was to infuse the functional elements with artistic touch that are symmetrical, geometric & soothing to eyes. Contemporary in character with yet a touch of Indian elements.Material/Palette
A neutral palette features combination of beige shade Italian stone flooring with white and mushroom painted walls & ceiling compliments bold santos veneer used on doors.
